Salsa's Vaya 3: Where do you want to ride today? Salsa's Classico double-butted chromoly tubing offers a great ride whether you're head down to the store, or on a cross-country trek. The frame is designed around a heads-up, all-day-comfortable touring geometry, has clearance for 42mm tires, and is dressed up with mounting points for front and rear racks, fenders, and a bevy of water bottles (all sold separately). Fast-rolling, no-nonsense Salsa/Sun wheels with tour-worthy Schwalbe tires are prepared to tackle mixed terrain touring, or less than perfect pavement. The wide-range, 27-speed Shimano Sora drivetrain shifts easily and muscles you and your gear to the next camp site. All-conditions stopping power is key when you're on the road, and a pair of Avid BB7S mechanical disc brakes ensure that you have total control at hand. Salsa's own stem and bar, Truvativ seatpost, and WTB saddle ramp up rider comfort during long days in the saddle so you can focus on the ride, and not your equipment.

I was looking to buy a truck of a bicycle - something sturdy enough to load up with everything imaginable, and hopefully get a trailer to haul even more of everything imaginable. I added a rear rack and bags and now do my semi-regular 30 mile round trip commute over our horrible streets, with occasional side trips to shop and haul still more things. With an abundant collection of lugs, my Salsa Vaya has been loaded down with all the goodies needed for me to stay as clean as possible and be an all-around utility bike. The 27 speeds make selecting the correct range a snap, and shifting is always a dream, even when out of the saddle trying to make it through an intersection before the lights change. Did I mention the brakes? For those times when stopping is more important than going, the disk brakes provide no-nonsense stopping power.
I use my Vaya 3 for weekend warrior type stuff. I have used it for high mountain road/ gravel riding and hauling the kids on a pull trailer. The steel frame and components make it fun, plus this is the best looking bike around. I can't find anything negative to write about this bike. My Green Salsa rocks!
Excellent do all bike . Great customer service from Salsa
