Rides and Events

Check this page often for updated listings of all types of cycling events and other community events in and around our area.

Our goal in publicizing community rides and events is to foster these advantages of group riding as well as grow the cycling community. We want riders to meet each other and inspire each other to ride more, build a healthy lifestyle, and have fun doing it. If you have any ideas for other rides or days/times not currently showing rides, please let us know.

For nearly 30 years, Ride Illinois, a statewide nonprofit bike advocacy organization has focused time and effort on making Illinois better through biking. This includes Mike-friendly roads, more/improved trails, favorable legislation, and cyclist and motorist education.

Ride Illinois typically publishes an annual booklet of scheduled organized rides held by local bike club and organizations.  This year (2021) they have put together a Digital 2021 Ride Guide Click HERE for the link to the online guide.  To learn more about the Ride Illinois Community, visit

**Group Rides for 2021 will be reviewed and developed starting in May**

Join us and other bike clubs on one of these fun rides. Whether you are new to cycling or an old pro, there is a ride that's right for you.

Group rides help you excel as a rider in many ways. You become a better bike handler when riding with other people, it is a good way to meet other riders of similar riding skill and interest, and it is a great way to test and increase your fitness.

Group rides are meant to be fun, and a great way to enjoy a sport with people of similar interests, however, all of our group riders will be asked to follow group ride etiquette with safety of the group and individual being first and foremost.

Rides require, at minimum, an appropriate bike in good working order, water, and a helmet. We suggest a spare tube, energy food, maybe a little cash in case we stop, and your biggest smile! Many rides are held subject to weather. It's a good idea to confirm dates, time and any specific requirements, too. We'll see you out there — and have fun!
